The Web Development Manager , under the direction of the Senior Director, Consumer Insights, Engagement, and Web Strategy, is accountable for collaborating with web team members, organizational stakeholders, and third party vendors to plan, build, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the technical aspects of desktop and mobile websites, online interactive tools, and mobile apps. The Web Development Manager will work closely with stakeholders to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies. Position accountability includes but not limited to: programming, database administration, configuration of third-party CMSs, and server vendor management.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or the right combination of experience and education;

3-5 years of experience in the field of Web development;

Solid understanding of web application development processes, from the user interface to relational database structures;

Advanced experience with modern web programming languages, methodologies, and standards: HTTP, SSL, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, PHP, JSON, XML, AJAX, SOAP, CI, ActionScript3, SQL, etc;

Motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges;

Detail-oriented, accurate, thorough, and takes extreme pride in their work;

Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, staff, and vendors while leading development to a completed and successful solution;

Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of stakeholders’ timelines and budgets;

Proficiency in synthesizing materials from multiple sources into cohesive and accurate oral and written presentations;

Ability to interact positively and work collaboratively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization;

Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
