The Web Manager is responsible for developing and managing the company website and online marketing efforts.
On a strategic level, the Web Manager will take a lead role in exploring and recommending innovative approaches to promoting the firm’s expertise online. The Web Manager will also lead the website redesign beginning in 2013, facilitating strategy discussions and managing the project. On a tactical level, the Web Manager will oversee the maintenance and support of the corporate site; manage projects to enhance web systems, infrastructure, and content; optimize site accessibility and performance through search engine optimization; and monitor online traffic for analysis. The Web Manager interacts with marketing colleagues, consultants, IT staff, and external vendors to ensure the overall quality of the website and other online marketing efforts on an ongoing basis. The Web Manager also serves as a liaison between marketing and technical staff/vendors.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
-Work with content writers and Creative Director on site updates and additions, taking an active role not only in developing new features, but repackaging and leveraging of existing content
-Maintain content, develop new pages, enhance functionality, and ensure overall quality and consistency throughout corporate site
-Proactively identify new approaches to improve and grow our website; driving the process with marketing team members and vendors to implement ideas
-Collect, analyze, and report data on relevant website usage/traffic and usability statistics on a regular basis; use the data to inform website decisions on how to best communicate with existing clients, affiliates, and potential clients and employees
-Optimize content for search engine visibility and ranking
-Maintain and refine onsite search engine
-Work with vendors on website initiatives; execute site upgrades and enhancements
-Maintain documentation on Content Management System and provide training to content editors
-Manage social media presence
-Lay out and distribute newsletters and announcements via email marketing system; provide testing, troubleshooting, and metrics
-Co-manage consultant and affiliate bio/CV library and process
-Report to Creative Director, Marketing
-Work closely with all members of the marketing team, including: Creative Director on art direction and strategy, staff writers on content and messaging; Marketing Managers on email marketing initiatives, CRM Marketing Manager and business development team to integrate website and CRM and help support business development
-Manage firm relationships with website vendors, working closely on project engagements, contracts, technical support, and knowledge transfer
-Work directly with firm IT department on technical issues
-Work directly with individual consultants and practice teams to provide website metrics on business/marketing initiatives
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or creative field or equivalent is required. Five to six years of experience in maintaining websites is required. Experience supporting a marketing department in a professional services environment is strongly preferred.
Accuracy, attention to detail, and problem solving ability are critical. Position requires multitasking and outstanding organizational and time management skills. Must be proficient editor and proofreader of content posted to the website, work cooperatively with marketing department and consulting staff to produce such materials, and actively provide recommendations to improve website.
Software/Skill Proficiency Requirements:
-Candidates should have a high level of computer literacy skills, including
-Expertise in MS Office Suite, Acrobat, HTML, and CSS
-Experience with Content Management Systems (Ektron preferred) is required
-Experience with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, is required
-Up-to-date knowledge of web standards and best practices, trends, and usability
-Experience with email marketing: using web-based service for mass email blasts; designing/coding email using HTML and CSS
-Strong project management skills
-Experience with managing website redesign projects

-Experience with audio, video, and interactive components; editing video for web and developing multimedia features
