The Dayton Metro Library is seeking a fulltime Web Specialist at our downtown Main Library.
Job Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Information Technology Services. Responsibilities for this web development position include managing the library's public web site by creating and maintaining web site content, applications, and site structure using web technologies, relational databases, graphical design, and server-side scripting. Installing and managing web server software. Interacting with staff and using CMS to facilitate timely updates of the website by staff.
Job Qualifications: Knowledge of available and emerging technologies and their application to web development. Experience with W3C-standards-based HTML, CSS, server-side scripting using PHP, relational databases, cross-browser implementation issues. Experience with web design and web programming, including Photoshop, MYSQL, and Joomla and maintaining website hardware and software infrastructure. Not intimidated by ASP. Experience with evaluating user needs.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems from four-year college or university; and two or more years related experience in web development; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Compensation and benefits: $39,416-$45,073 plus excellent benefit package.
