Write and edit web copy for strategically important sections of the website and collaborate with other departments and offices on development of their web pages; conceptualize the framework of web site sections in collaboration with other members of the Web and Marketing team; regularly review content across the site for timeliness and accuracy of content and initiate updates; bring consistency to how information is presented across the site; optimize content to improve online effectiveness in search rankings and traffic volume; and analyze data and generate reports on selected content changes and additions using web analytic programs. Write recruitment emails that meet the needs of a savvy prospective graduate student audience. Ensure that the website is being used effectively to advance the strategic communications and public engagement goals of the School.

Qualifications/Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, the liberal arts, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree preferred.

Required Experience:
Min. 3 years' experience writing and editing web copy from a user-oriented perspective (note: we will not accept blog, digital news article, press release, or social media writing as a substitute for web page writing)
Experience using web content management systems and standard office software

Preferred Experience:
Work experience in higher education or non-profit marketing/communications.
Experience writing crisp and succinct marketing emails

Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills,Highly organized, meticulous about detail, and strong multi-tasking capabilities,Collaborative and consultative work style; strong partnering and relationship-building skills,Ability to think creatively and strategically,Knowledge of search engine optimization techniques. Must be comfortable working within commercial email service providers such as Bronto.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Knowledge of web analytics, knowledge of HTML for formatting and styling web content, basic image editing
