Reports to: Executive Director of Information Technology and Vice President for Enrollment Management

Classification: Exempt

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, 3+ years experience in website development and design;
  • Proficient in SQL/MySQL database and knowledge of: HTML, DHTML, PHP, ASP, JAVA, Javascript, Wordpress, Dreamweaver and CMS software (Ektron; ); knowledge and/or ability to master other systems/software associated with CHC web services;
  • Proven project management expertise a plus;
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills, collaboration and the ability to implement projects in a team-oriented environment;

  • Manage the web services of the College including the development, organization, and management of the website, overall web presence, portal, intranet, domain names, training, search optimization, online forms, and web analytics;
  • Provide overall direction and support to the many areas comprising the CHC community;
  • Work in partnership with the Marketing and Communications departments to develop relevant and effective strategies/methods for online publishing, communications and branding;
  • Work with faculty and staff to assist in the development of timely and effective ways to leverage the web in support of teaching and learning;
  • Identify and promote best practices in support of the portal and other enterprise solutions;
  • Organize training and support for content managers/publishers;
  • Serve in a leadership role on the collaborative information team comprised of key campus constituents (primarily Marketing, Communications and Academics) in order to manage the timely and efficient flow of information to and from the website, social media, portal, etc.;
  • Continually assess emerging tools and trends as well as ensure/enforce quality assurance and branding guidelines;
  • Be available to handle emergencies that may arise related to web services;
  • Monitor backups and restores, performance, stop and restart services, and monitor up/down time;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and College policies on Website accessibility, privacy, usage, security and standards.
