The
Webmaster is in charge of maintaining and updating the website,
mostly from a technical standpoint, but also making simple content
changes when necessary.

Specific
responsibilities include, but are not limited

to:
·
Maintain
the primary website (www.gaf.com) focusing on technical quality,
performance, and uptime.

·
Implement
new features in www.gaf.com as required by the Marketing
Department.

·
Identify
and fix bugs, performance issues, cross-browser issues, and
user’s problems in a timely manner.

·
Document
website source code

·
Work with
other GAF programmers/developers and third-parties where
required

·
Similar
tasks relating to other marketing websites

·
Interface
with GAF Legal and IT teams to maintain best
practices

Additionally you will work to develop consumer facing
applications that support GAF’s sales and marketing efforts.
Your work will be seen / used by millions of
people.

You will
fix user-facing problems rapidly and solve technical problems often relating
to high user volume, performance (both client-side JavaScript
performance and web/DB server performance), or large and/or
potentially long-running database operations.

You will
be coordinating best practices from our IT group but primarily
interfacing directly with the creative staff in the marketing
department.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
or equivalent relevant experience coupled with 5-10 years of web
design/production experience, preferably in a marketing
environment.
