This is a specialized professional position with primary responsibility for internal and external web and social media content, development and maintenance within a dynamic and socially engaged community relations department. *The ability to handwrite HTML and CSS
*2 years’ web design experience, with portfolio of original work
*Working knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite
*Experience with various CMS including Wordpress)
*Strong knowledge of current website standards
*Quality assurance of own work, code testing, cross browser testing, etc

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Designs and maintains the organization’s website and Intranet.
*Designs, builds and/or maintains additional related websites.
*Updates social media pages.
*Assists with the development of on-line materials necessary for various presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
*Conducts presentations and trainings as needed.
*Participates in information gathering activities aimed at improving the value of DHS web-based media to stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in web design, plus 2 years experience in a professional web design capacity or an associate’s degree in web design, plus 4 years of web design experience or at least 8 years combined education/experience in web design.
