The WEBSPHERE ENGINEER position is a full time role with one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Greater Washington DC area. The companys headquarters are approximately 25 miles outside of downtown DC.
The successful candidate will work directly with the Director of IT, and be responsible for the development and execution of the specification provided by the team lead of the project. He/she will be responsible for working on a large-scale critical application from conception, through development, implementation and maintenance.
The WEBSPHERE ENGINEER scope of work is extensive and all candidates must have a broad range of functional and technical capabilities. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design,installation, operation, and maintenance of extensive Websphere based systems. Work closely with IT staff, outside consultants and contractors Ensure existing web-based interactive and back-end services are operating properly and at optimum performance levels. Monitor web-based systems, including the troubleshooting and escalation of issues and resolutions to IT management. Be available 24x7to assist in critical production operations support, if necessary
