Duties and responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, performs a combination of fluxcore and Tig welding
processes on company products, working to close tolerances using welding
metals and alloy metals.
Plans assignments and determines sequence of
operation and welding process using engineering drawing or specifications.
Performs hand or machine welding on various product surfaces including overhead, horizontal, vertical, and circular, working under controlled or extreme atmospheric conditions.
Performs unusual welding assignments involving critical alignment tolerances, varying degrees of metal thickness having dissimilar melting temperatures, and extreme stress and/or critical pressures.
Weldments are subject to inspection by penetrant, ultrasonic, or x-ray inspection.

High School Diploma or GED
2 years experience with Tig and Fluxcore welding process
5 years experience with Tig and Fluxcore welding process
Certified in Welding, preferred but not required
