San Miguel Lignite Mine is a surface mine operation located in Christine, Texas; 18 miles south of Jourdanton.
Tasks
The successful candidate will demonstrate safe work practices and have a strong commitment to safety. They will display positive behaviors that support the company's goals and objectives.

This position performs preventive maintenance and repairs on dragline systems, gearing, and motor alignment. Welding processes most commonly used are SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW. Other processes utilized are Carbon Arc Gouging, Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting. Candidates should be able to properly choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments. This position requires employees to work rotating shifts, weekends, nights and holidays; over-time as needed. Personal tools are required; San Miguel mine offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
Candidates MUST possess current AWS Certification and 3 years of welding experience; or graduation and certification from a technical/vocational school plus 3 years of experience in welding.
