We have an immediate opening for a MIG Welder in Bucks County!
Position requires successful completion of a welding test administered according to plant guidelines.
Perform all-position mig welding to join steel and aluminum metals from 1/16" to 1" thick plate, applying the appropriate welding processes to weld assemblies for our Client's equipment and other products, both new equipment and repair. Perform duties as specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches or charts. May layout and mark weld locations on parts or subassemblies using tape measure, square or templates. Position parts to be welded into jigs or holding fixtures ensuring that they are properly clamped into position. Clean burrs, spatter, and weld flux from the assemblies using grinders, wire brushes, wire wheels, hammers and chisels. May be required to fabricate materials.
Must be able to operate a cutting torch and various hand tools if necessary. Hand count material for inventory purposes as required.
Must wear and maintain protective clothing and equipment including a welding helmet, welding gloves, cotton clothing, safety glasses and steel toe safety shoes. Follow all safety practices during assembly and production operations and ensure work areas are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
Perform special projects and any other duties as assigned.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
Physical Requirements: Balancing, carrying, climbing, color vision, digital dexterity, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting (min. 75 lbs. assisted or unassisted), pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, sitting, standing, stooping, talking, turning, walking, working speed.
Mental Requirements: Must concentrate mental and visual attention closely on work coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods.
4 days a week 10 hr shifts Monday - Thursday closed Fridays
