3 to 5 years welding experience in a production environment. Able to weld on SS and mild steel.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment including steel toe shoes/boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
Job is M-F days. Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays if necessary.
Must be reliable and punctual.
Layout and weld metal components per blueprints and specification, using brazing and a variety of welding techniques. Performs all functions related to completion of welding product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sets up equipment for welding, determines voltage and amps for each job.
Responsible for layout and welding of any size pipe.
Welds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of mig welding processes.
Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
Reworks product to repair leaks.

Ability to wear personal protective equipment specific to the position.
Ability to comply with all established company policies, procedures, standards and rules.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to produce good results on welding test.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred ,or 2 to 3 years experience as welder in
similar industry. Additional experience can be used in lieu of educational requirement.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read work orders and prints. Ability to communicate with coworkers and supervisors.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
