The Welding Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of welding processes for manual and automated procedures. The candidate will have the ability to recommend and specify equipment details to enhance overall quality and productivity.
Indepth knowledge of ASME Code Sec. IX and other international welding Codes a plus.
Working knowledge of ASME, API and NACE Codes a plus
Extensive knowledge in the SAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW processes
Automation background and experience a plus
Working knowledge or experience with weld overlay a plus
Proficient in Word and Excel
Good communication skills both written/verbal, a Team player.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Technology, Materials Engineering, Masters preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the capacity as a Welding Engineer preferred.
Hands-on individual with in-depth trouble shooting & process optimization capabilities.
Processing of non-conformances and release of repair operations instructions
Development and Qualification of new welding specifications
Ability to interface between Manufacturing, Engineering and Customers
Review and identify customers' welding requirements, then translate into corresponding welding procedures.
