TSTC West Texas seeks an Instructor in the Engineering Technology Division for the Welding Technology program for our West Texas Campuses.

The Instructor of Welding Technology will demonstrate competency in their field, being student focused with a desire to motivate them to succeed. The Instructor will be responsible for creating and teaching welding technology classes via traditional classroom environments and web-based formats.

The preferred applicant will be proficient in the following areas of: GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, Oxyacetylene Welding, Metallurgy, Oxyfuel and Plasma Cutting, Pipe Welding and Joint configuration, Blue Prints, AWS Symbols, and Designations. Past teaching experience with an educational institution is a plus.

For this position, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred; A.A.S. degree in a Technical Discipline with 3 years of welding experience are minimum requirements. The Welding Instructor must have the flexibility and be able to travel to the campuses in West Texas for Instruction or Meetings. Some state-wide travel may be required as well.

Salary - $35,800 - DOE
