Carnival Cruise Lines is seeking a Part Time Wellness Consultant to design, develop, and implement our workplace wellness program for employees at our Miami and Ft. Lauderdale locations. The Part-Time Health and Wellness Consultant works within the human resources department and is responsible for the coordination, planning, organizing, implementation, evaluation, and administration of all components of the employee health and wellness.
Develops and coordinates programs to improve the health and well-being of Carnival Employees
Implements programs that shows effective promotion of wellness and provide measureable results
Promotes wellness programming through employee communications, incentive campaigns, and other activities to generate employee participation
Organizes and plans seminars company-wide on wellness-related topics· Assists in the development of policies and procedures relevant to the operation of Carnival’s employee wellness program
Supervises and monitors progress of wellness programming through regular communication with program contacts
Develops creative and unique strategies to integrate wellness initiatives into the overall culture of the Carnival Cruise Lines
Represents Carnival Cruise Lines at Wellness Summits and Forums
Provides Human Resources management with quarterly reporting on program status, progress, and participation, including annual return on investment (ROI)
This rewarding position is flexible and provides for a FUN and rewarding work environment. We will work around YOUR schedule between 15-25 hours per week, either on a Long Term Contract or Part-Time basis.
Your will be required to spend time in the office primarily in our Miami/Doral location and occasionally in our Miramar location. Requirements:
Clinical Consultant with 3+ years working in a health care environment with patients/clients on health improvement or healthy habits. Work experience with patients in a health care setting environment is preferred. Health education (RN/LPN) is preferred. Knowledge of risk factors for various health diseases; coaching/educating/counseling skills; adult education learning strategies; presentation skills; critical thinking skills.
Bachelor's degree in health education, health science, food nutrition, dietetics, fitness or related field required. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Vocational Nurse or RN in a medical practice setting preferred. Current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, First Aid certification required.
Experience in health promotion or work site wellness and public speaking preferred. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to educate and coach effectively in all modalities; face-to-face, group or by phone. Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts.
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred with some knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with PowerPoint is preferred.
