Job Title: Wellness Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt / SALARY
Reports To: VP of Operations
Creative, energetic, knowledgeable and enthusiastic person to create, operate and manage the Wellness and Adventure Programs in conjunction with the current activities and spa departments. Responsible for operating, managing and ensuring an exceptional wellness and adventure experience, building business, demand and room sales while building positive relationships with guests and creating memories and a sense of adventure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop a wellness and fitness program for Blackberry Farm guests
Create the best wellness enrichment series in the Country
Bring current wellness and fitness clients to Blackberry events
Evolve Transformation Boot Camp into a Blackberry branded wellness and fitness destination business
Develop a daily fitness program for all guests including yoga, weights, cycling, hiking, running and incorporate into activities and spa departments
Performs personal training, guided hikes, guided cycling, operate boot camps with guests
Organize and handle all aspects of events
Guest house sold out Sunday – Thursday one time per month for Boot Camp
Grow business in two – three years to two events per month
Work closely with sales and event teams to build sales of wellness and fitness programs, boot camps, personal training, yoga and adventure activities
Prepare an evaluation and summary of current wellness, fitness and adventure programs including current “Transformation Boot Camps” and make recommendations for improvement
Create, schedule and drive demand for successful wellness and fitness programs
Design, lead, and supervise year round indoor and outdoor programs for guests
Order supplies and equipment using the approved purchase order system
Provide content/edits for wellness and fitness programs to the Marketing Manager
Keep abreast of cultural, social, economic, and leadership trends and developments
Communicate, implement, and enforce clear, reasonable, and consistent guidelines for all aspects of wellness and fitness program participation
Execute and hands on management/operation of all wellness and fitness programs
Prepare and adhere to annual budget for wellness and fitness Programs
Meet weekly with direct reports to discuss performance, financials, staffing, capital investments, maintaining company standards and self-improvement
Research and analyze past events and activities to assess guests’ needs and expectations
Manage financial expenses to budget
Gather/track guest information and preferences by maintaining guest database
Create unique enhancements to the current experience
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance in required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
No direct reports, but responsible for hands on management of all guest wellness and fitness programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in Recreation Management or related field of study preferred or five years of experience in hospitality/ activities.
Multi-level experience with spa services at a luxury resort
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, team members, and the general public.
Basic math skills
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Blackberry Farm is open 7 days per week 365 days per year, and all employees are expected to be able to work any day of the week.
