Winamp is the world’s second most popular line of media manager products and over 45 million people worldwide use our products to consume music every month. The Winamp product family consists of Winamp Desktop Media Manager, Winamp Websites, SHOUTcast, Winamp Toolbar, Winamp for Mac and Winamp for Android, the newest edition to the family and the top Android Music Manager on the market.
The Winamp team is a band of black belt ninja product developers and we are looking for an apprentice to pass along some of that valuable experience while helping us fight the good fight. This is a very exciting time for music product development: Google, Amazon, Apple, Spotify, Rdio, MOG and many others are releasing products that are shaping the future of music, come be a part of Winamp’s contribution to that future.
We are looking for one, part-time intern to work in our Dulles, VA office. This person will assist in any number of tasks in the definition of some new and innovative new products being developed for the Winamp family in the fast moving music product space.
Winamp interns are involved in every aspect of the product development process including:
·Requirements reviews, consumer behavioral research, focus groups, surveys, competitive analysis, product metrics, design review, agile development and daily standups, project management and brainstorming.
Requirements for Success:
- Be pursuing a course of study in product development, design or project management are preferred but not required.
- Be dedicated with an impressive work ethic.
- Have fantastic writing and organizational skills and knowledge of and passion for music products.
- Be web savvy: knowledge of Web-based Tools, familiar with basic office software and great at tracking down things on the web.
- Be comfortable working in a start up environment where roles are loosely defined; the hours are odd and passion fuels debates and decisions.
