Analyze wind climates for given project sites and prepare performance reports for proposed and operating wind power facilities
Provide support for project developers and project managers as needed for tasks pertaining to energy resource assessment and analysis
Perform data analysis for various purposes on demand, as well as at scheduled intervals
Assist in, or perform turbine suitability analysis, wind farm design, data analysis, project siting, general mapping, and energy systems modeling in supervised and independent settings
Provide field reporting and assessment from remote locations as necessary
Design and support measurement campaigns and experiments necessary to appropriately characterize project sites and project feasibility
Prepare feasibility and suitability analysis for various generation equipment acrossNorth America
Additional general business and technical responsibilities as needed to ensure team and business success
Communicate technical information to project developers and be able to participate in project teams
Provide high quality and timely technical guidance to customers of analytic support across the company including (but not limited to) development, finance, operations, construction, and power marketing
All responsibilities as assigned

B.S. degree in meteorology, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, physical or earth science, geography, computer sciences, or related field; or equivalent.
Master’s degree a plus.
Experience with professional data analysis in an applied science and/or engineering
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as good communication skills with demonstrated strength in the written and oral communication of technical information
Able to professionally represent the company when dealing with external organizations
Knowledge of quantitative and mathematical analysis and experiment design using computing technologies
Experience with or understanding of scientific instrumentation pertinent to energy and meteorology
Knowledge of a wide range of computer equipment and operating systems and an understanding of major computer programming languages
Working software knowledge of MS suite including Access; preferred familiarity with statistical/mathematical analysis applications, CAD, GIS/mapping/GIS, project management, Adobe, and computational modeling (CFD and other fluids/aerospace modeling) and/or wind energy analysis software
Hold or be eligible for valid passport
Available to travel 25-50% of the time and be able to work from remote locations via phone or video conference
Valid driver’s license
Able to safely work in an outdoor/field environment
Knowledge of atmospheric/environmental science and practical applications (including field work involving handheld GPS/Maps/Mobile GIS, camera, transit/compass, and rangefinder) a plus
