Window Systems Administrator EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree Plus and five years related experience and/or training or related combined experience.
The Windows Systems Administrator will diagnose and resolve enterprise Windows, Linux, network, desktop, and printer related issues. Will monitor, install and configure servers; administer daily backup systems, perform data restores, plan and test disaster recovery scenarios. Install and configure workstation operating systems, and install new equipment using the Company's hardware and software standards.
Window Systems Administrator ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:
Configures Windows 2000/2002/2008/XP/Vista and Linux systems and maintain updated build document.
Assist in network troubleshooting as related to enterprise system performance.
Troubleshoot hardware and software related issues to resolution.
Conduct performance tuning on enterprise hardware and software to optimize system performance.
Conduct security Assessments and follow hardening standards to maintain systems security.
Installs Operating system level patches and ensures configuration, and system optimization
Evaluates new hardware and software and makes recommendations
Troubleshoots PCs including:
Configure, set up of desktop standards and diagnose performance of PCs
Provide advanced hardware troubleshooting down to the board level
Assist in the cabling and configuration for support of enterprise systems.
Load application software on single user operating systems
Troubleshoot and respond to user questions
Tracks and updates open calls and/or escalates problems as documented.
Installs, upgrades, and configures network printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software on file servers. Provides printer troubleshooting, maintenance and repair
Installs/upgrades additional hardware/software products
Uses remote control software as required
Adheres to file server startup and shutdown procedures
Serves as point of contact for IT Security support.
