Support US Strategic Command personnel with timely and
efficient desktop service by providing prompt response to
inquiries.

The candidate selected will be responsible for providing
computer support operations including, but not limited to,
computer operations, production control, data entry, remote job
entry, tape library, etc. for Collaborative Services

(Defense Collaborative Tool Set, Automated Message Handling
Service, Defense Messaging Services) Perform System
Administrator activities in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Installs, maintains, and upgrades OSs and applications for the
server and client environment,Performs backups, monitors site
traffic and helps scale site capacity to meet traffic demands.
Assist in development and implementation of policies and
procedures, load and performance monitoring, access
permissions, hardware provisioning, hardware and software
installation, configuration and maintenance

Additonal responsibilites will include,

Distribute software to Windows PCs via SCCM or by manual
installation as directed. Troubleshoot errors on installed and
web-based applications. Create and maintain network print
queues, troubleshoot printing issues. Reimage and repair broken
Windows PCs. Create and maintain user/group accounts, modify
user, profile, security group and file server permissions.
Provide after-hours server monitoring and escalate issues to
appropriate personnel.

Requirements:
Plans, organizes, directs, and controls computer systems
operations;
• Maintains file systems
• Proactively monitors all software and systems, proactively
reports results
• Assists in devising targeted metrics to assess system
performance on an ongoing basis;
• Provides setup, configuration and maintenance of windows
environment devices;
• Analyzes, diagnosis, and repairs workstations
• Maintain internet connectivity, security services and e-mail
services
• Understands, adheres to and implements overall security and
configuration policies
• Works with outside vendors and Service Centers;
• Assists with software release and monthly system maintenance
• Supervises personnel engaged in the operation of computer
consoles and peripheral equipment;
• Identifies processing requirements and schedules job streams
for computer runs;
• Must have a thorough knowledge of capabilities applicable
with computer hardware configurations;
• Establishes, modifies, and deletes user accounts according to
Government approved procedures;

Certifications Required
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification
Current Windows (XP and Vista) desktop operating system
experience strongly preferred
Top Secret clearance and special accesses eligibility is
required
