Position will work primarily on the Windows platform and focus on end user incident management. Position will perform software lifecycle management including packaging of installers using vendor furnished media, custom code, application patching and break/fix. Provide Tier 3 application support and this function includes investigation, diagnosis, resolution, recovery, and documentation. Duties may include maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, support of client/server environment. Operates as part of a larger Data Center team and therefore must be able to communicate and work well with the other IT organizations and the customers.

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

Basic Qualifications
6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters

Preferred Qualifications
Must have knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems as well as client/server environments.
Excellent troubleshooting skills are required. Has understanding of classic Systems Administration and distributed computing concepts.

BS degree in Information or Computer Science.
