Purpose of the position – The Windows system administrator is responsible for the systems administration and support of all Windows based systems. They also are responsible for Lotus Notes application support, Web services support, VMare support and iSCSI SAN administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administration, implementation, communication, enforcement and maintenance of the IT systems security policy, including production, UAT, QA/Test and dev environments.

Support the day-to-day operations of assigned systems in the corporate data center as well as the Disaster Recovery warm site.

Support activities related to problem resolution, decision making, administration, and strategic planning including security on Windows based OS and Active Directory.

React quickly to critical situations and report status to Management

Responsible for installation, configuration, and trouble shooting on all Windows based servers, which includes disk space management, backup and table management, upgrade and patch management, system usage tracking, network usage tracking, system performance management and 24x7 on-site monitoring support

Responsible for end user support

On-call duty for after-hours support every other week, carrying and monitoring calls/text messages to the on-call cell phone and responding appropriately.

Responsible to resolve all non-routine issues of installing, running, upgrading and maintenance of all systems

Responsible for the approval/denial of any changes that might affect systems using Change Control procedures

Job Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience with System Administration on Windows-based systems, specifically Windows 2003

Experience with Windows 2008 OS

B.A. degree in related field or appropriate experience as determined by the company.

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory administration

Experience with Windows Server 2008

Experience with WebSphere Application Server administration

Experience with McAfee Antivirus and anti-spyware administration

Experience with Microsoft IIS 5.0/6.0, Lotus Domino and VMare

Preferred experience with Netegrity Siteminder administration, WebSphere Portal Server administration, Micosoft VB Script, Lotus Notes programming (Lotusscript), Esker Fax for Notes, System and network management tools usage, MSA SAN administration and SQLServer

Working knowledge of change management processes and local area network principles

Relationships/Contacts: Director of Systems Operations, VP of Finance, CFO

Working Environment
Typical office environment, 24 hour on-call environment
