At Wayfair, we are looking to grow our systems administration team by bringing on board a talented individual who wants broad exposure to the technologies that support our infrastructure and our large-scale Internet e-commerce platform. The Corporate Applications team manages some of Wayfair’s most critical services that support both our customers and our employees across the globe.
Maintain health and availability of global Active Directory forest
Administer Windows 2008R2 servers
Design and implement Group Policy objects
Collect, monitor and analyze systems performance data
Build and deploy machine templates in our virtual environment
Manage, monitor and troubleshooting daily processes and proposing improvements/additional features
Support third party applications and services
Capacity planning for server resources
Create and maintain detailed documentation and service topologies
Establish, maintain, and adhere to Wayfair technical standards, policies and procedures
BA or BS degree from a 4-year college or university
3-5 years' experience
A high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
A strong sense of customer service, attention to detail and desire for organization
Experience working with and maintaining a large AD environment with Exchange and GP deployed applications.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize appropriately.
Familiarity with email, FTP, DHCP, DNS and HTTP technologies
Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies -- IIS, SCCM, SCOM, WSUS, Windows Clustering a plus
Unix/Linux knowledge/interest a plus
Scripting and automation ability, especially in Powershell, VBScript, and/or PHP, a large plus
Experience working with source control (SVN, Git, etc)
