Appirio is focused on Workday,, and Google Enterprise customer implementations. Workday Integrations Technical Architects are responsible for 1) designing key technical components of the solution 2) directing Appirio technical resources to develop project deliverables and integration systems and 3) supporting pre-sales efforts. These three focus areas will provide a comprehensive solution that drives business value for Appirio’s customers.

Workday Technical Integrations Architects must have a deep knowledge of service oriented architecture design principles, common ERP integration design patterns, in-depth knowledge of various integration technologies, extensive hands on experience in developing Workday integrations and will utilize skills to drive integration deployment successes and favorable business outcomes.

Specific duties include:
Engage where appropriate in the sales cycle to help scope integration projects

Lead project teams through integration discovery and scoping phases

Provide guidance to clients, project teams, or prospects on integration strategies

Direct involvement and/or oversight of developing business requirements, specifications, process flows, application design, application configuration, testing and deployment

Consult with the functional consultant(s) and other technical consultants to design, build and deploy Workday to meet customer business needs and resolve complex integration issues

Perform the most advanced design and development tasks

Identify when business requirements conflict with technical capabilities

Perform analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues

Provide mentoring and guidance to other team members

Partner with project managers to monitor project status and risk areas

Monitor technical deliverables for consistent quality as well as compliance with Appirio standards

Function as leader within the organization and industry. Examples may include subject matter expert, Workday partner product lead, Silver Lining lead, speaker at industry events.

Serve as integrations subject matter expert

Provide constructive feedback to project teams

Participate actively in COE discussions, building a reputation as a go-to resource for the toughest problems.

Contribute to the wiki, contribute to the asset library, Cloud Management Center, sponsor new employees and present at continuing education sessions

Create reusable assets

Achieve published company utilization targets

Candidate Profile

Enthusiastic and professional, with a focus on customer success

Confident and willing to challenge and guide the customer towards the appropriate solution for their needs and push back if a customer is asking for solutions that aren't in their best interest

Excellent listening skills to fully understand the customer requirements, pain points and “big picture”

Ability to translate customer requirements into implementation plans

Technical acumen to convert plans into real solutions that work

Driven by customer success with a team player attitude

Ability to engage on multiple projects concurrently

Ability to travel to client site as needed

Preferred Skills/Experience

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent

Workday integrations certification, with more than two years hands-on experience, and at least three large-scale Workday full-lifecycle deployments

WebLogic, WebSphere, WebMethods or other middleware experience

XML, XSLT experience required

EDI, Web Services, Java, JSON, BIRT, .Net or other integration technologies preferred

Command of Service Oriented Architecture Concepts

8+ years human resources, payroll or financial software application experience required

8+ years implementing integration solutions with ERP software

Strong communication and presentation skills
