Conducts intake interviews and provides case management, plans and coordinates programming for TANF Customers referred to the Power of Work Program.
A. Conducts comprehensive intake interviews and assessments with TANF customers referred to the Power of Work program.
B. Provides counseling to participants focusing on assessment needs, work habits, interpersonal skills, and other issues which may impact the individual's ability to find and maintain employment.
C. Provides case management services connecting with appropriate agencies for additional needs and assistance.
D.Provides career guidance and vocational counseling as appropriate.
E. Assists in developing and implementing an Individualized Plan for Career Development for TANF Customers.
F. May assist in conducting intensive work readiness, job maintenance skills and soft skills training with participants.
G. Must provides written reports and case file documentation as required by referral and funding agencies.
H. Must input data and keep data current in electronic data bases.
I. Communicates with and serves as a liaison between the person served and other agencies as needed.
J. Functions as a member of the Workforce Development Department team, giving and receiving peer input into the delivery of services.
K. Performs other duties as assigned.
Prefer experience in case management with individuals with barriers to employment and/or working with TANF Customers.
