The Systems Administrator will serve as a VDI Workstation Installation Specialist on an installation team with the purpose of utilizing existing experience to execute the mass replacement of workstations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
VDI Non-Core Workstation Installation Specialist is a member of an installation team with the purpose of utilizing existing experience to execute the mass replacement of workstations. Responsibilities include the breakdown of existing systems, removal and proper disposal of existing equipment and installation of VDI equipment. This includes insuring proper, well-coordinated communications with the customer, sanitizing hardware for disposal, updates to Change Management, DPAS updates, and resolving Systems Integration issues as they arise during the deactivation process. The candidate will be responsible to the Project Senior Implementation Engineer and may be required to work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends and overtime as directed by deployment schedule and Project Manager.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent relevant work experience. This candidate should be familiar with Remedy and the change management process, and have strong able to work in a team structure in a high stress environment, working additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines, have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable in a customer facing role.
Ability to lift 70 lbs without assistance is desired
