Job Description:
ERICO currently has an exciting opportunity for a
Worldwide Planning Manager at its Solon, Ohio
headquarters. The WW Planning Manager is responsible for
supervising employees in demand management, inventory
management, production scheduling, and purchase order
management. This position is best suited for an
energetic, highly motivated, and results-driven
individual who is looking to join a solid, high-growth
international company that has been headquartered in the
Cleveland, Ohio area since 1903.
POSITION: Worldwide Manager, Planning
LOCATION: Solon, Ohio
REPORTS TO: Director, Product Planning

The mission of Product Planning is to support our
Commercial Team’s efforts by supplying product
throughout our world-wide footprint. The group strives
for high product availability with limited working
capital/reasonable inventory turns by accurately
forecasting future demand, capacity planning and
effective scheduling in manufacturing plants, and
actively adjusting to the markets we serve.
The responsibilities of the Product Planning Team
includes demand forecasting, product stocking
decision-making, material path determination,
manufacturing scheduling, plant capacity planning, and
the placement and maintenance of both purchase and
manufacturing inventory orders.
In the WW Planning Manager role, the employee is
responsible for both day-to-day as well as medium to
long term strategic management activities and has direct
management responsibility for both demand
management/forecasting and manufacturing/replenishment
planning employees. The scope of responsibility is
normally inclusive of one of the three major ERICO
brands (CADDY, ERICO Electric, or LENTON) on a worldwide
The employee is also tasked with significant
cross-functional communication and coordination
responsibility with Sales, Customer Service,
Distribution, Product Management, Product Development,
Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance and Executive
Management to ensure ERICO’s material plan is in
agreement with the organizations vision and
New product launches, product discontinuation or
displacement coordination, and sales and inventory
planning meetings with manufacturing, commercial, and
executive TEAMS are examples of cross-functional
involvement at the WW Planning Manager level.
The WW Planning Manager and their Planning Team
frequently interact with external parties around the
world. Material is sourced and shipped globally to
customers, agents, and other ERICO warehouses. Vendors
supplying material are located in North America, Europe,
China, India, and Australia. The Planning Team is
regularly expected to participate in efforts to
redistribute & balance global inventories, particularly
as the related to manufactured goods.

Job Requirements:
  • 4-Year Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics,
Operations Management, or Information Technology.
  • Substantial planning and inventory control knowledge
(3 to 5 years of material planning experience
  • Extensive knowledge of standard materials management
tools (forecasting, material requirements planning
(MRP) systems, inventory analysis tools.
  • Manufacturing, Distribution, Inventory Management or
software programming experiences are plus factors.
  • Demand Solutions experience (preferred but not
  • APICS certification (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with Six-Sigma or other statistical
management techniques a plus factor.
