As Writer , you will produce technically excellent writing that still manages to sound fresh, be fun and have personality. Your ability to employ a range of voices and tones is important, because your sweet wordcraft will be used in diverse situations – from external websites and social media to internal presentations. Your work will be read by a global array of audiences including current and future Riot team members, fans, business partners, and press.
You are :
Experienced: candidates should bring at least three years of experience cranking out high-quality, long- and short-form writing in a corporate communications environment, advertising agency, corporate creative services department or national print or online publication, though where you wrote matters less than what you wrote
Productive and motivated: you believe writer’s block is for amateurs; you produce tight work on ludicrous deadlines
An idea machine: your brainstorms make other brainstorms look like headsprinkles or braincloudies with a chance of scattered showers; you find fresh similes and metaphors that make communication more effective
Culturally astute: you’re a native gamer but a cultural polyglot; you not only grok the meme of the day, but also the proto-meme, meta-meme, and the uber-meme
Empathetic: you evaluate how different audiences might perceive your writing and steer clear of gaffes that could create difficult situations
Practical: though it offends your artistic sensibilities, you’re OK with having to polish an occasional turd; you have the wisdom to recognize when perfection is the enemy of good
Technically proficient: you are skilled with the tools of web and professional content production including hands-on experience with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal
You will :
