JOB SUMMARY: Primary responsibility is to maximize Yields achieved in the marketplace

ESSTENTIAL FUNCTIONS - the following are essential functions of the job but are not all-inclusive

Optimize forecasting models and establish effective channel mix strategies for Groups and FIT based on seasonal and geographical variances using revenue management tools

Assist the corporate sales effort to meet or exceed budgeted revenue and yield

Understand and report on variable pricing strategies

Work with Revenue Management team on pricing decisions for Groups and FIT segments

Work with the VP of Sales to determine pricing strategies for Charter and Incentive travel groups

Implement Groups' incentives and allotment strategies for seasonal adjustments

Establish and maintain minimum standards for Yield Management and Inventory to include: weekly Yield/Inventory Meetings, Sales agent scripting, call conversion goals, and standardized reporting.

Act as a liaison for all Group business with Travel/Tour Operators and Travel Agents. Maximize departmental contact with all clients to ensure optimal conversion rates and bookings

Provides a weekly & monthly predictive revenue and yield analysis

Works with SEAWARE reservations program to provide a weekly and monthly inventory analysis of Groups and FIT channel mix

Manage/update current Groups strategies and policy information in all available distribution channels

Participate in weekly Management meetings

Work with the Revenue Management team in recommending and implementing of Revenue Management programs and new initiatives

Works with senior management to establish strategies to increase revenue streams from both Groups and FIT business

Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly yield and inventory management reports

Maintain accurate and detailed historical data for all market segments

Compile data, analyze trends, and develop accurate weekly and monthly forecasts

Critically analyze the impact of the revenue management strategies implemented by the company on Groups/FIT business

Ensure that all allotment plans are built in accordance with established guidelines

Update and maintain all revenue management tools

Ensure group inventory and cut-off dates are managed according to conversion

Demonstrate a "can do" attitude and fosters a positive team-oriented work environment, generates enthusiasm, and motivates through positive reinforcement and leads by example

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Knowledge, Training & Work Experience

College degree required

Previous experience in Travel and Hospitality industry a plus

Excellent communication skills

Proven work-related Analytical Experience

Outgoing and self-motivated individual

Current experience in a reservations or revenue position

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Experience with SEAWARE a plus

Understanding of revenue management techniques and strategies


Masters Degree in Business, Administration, Marketing, and/or Sales

10+ years' experience in a management role within the industry

Experience in strategic planning and execution

Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management

Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures

Knowledge of public relations principles, practices, and techniques

Ability to develop and deliver presentations

Ability to identify and secure revenue sources

Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects

Work requires willingness to travel and to work a flexible schedule

Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests as including but not limited to pre-employment, random, post-accident testing

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
