Woodward Academy, a Sequel Youth & Family Services Program, is a residential treatment facility for male youth who are adjudicated delinquent or “child in need of assistance” (CINA). Woodward Academy offers three highly structured programs aimed at redirecting delinquent, negative behaviors to positive, socially acceptable patterns through introducing students to a normative culture. Woodward’s treatment philosophy focuses on behavioral and cognitive change through the establishment of a normative culture model and offender specific treatment services.

The qualifications for the youth counselor position include a high school diploma or GED and one year of previous work or volunteer experience working with kids is preferred or a college degree in the Human Services field. It is an essential function of the job that staff be capable of participating in physical training activities and be capable of physically restraining the students if and when necessary.
