Provide Higher Education Counseling to At-risk Students
·Conduct intake with referred youth and parent/guardian
·Develop service plans including short & long term goals
·Maintain accurate and up to date case records
·Monitor clients progress w/school and program environment
·Schedule & facilitate individual and group sessions
·Prepare & submit monthly statistics
·Maintain daily attendance, master registration and case referral logs
·Completion and timely submission of documentation, statistics and correspondence as it relates to the program
·Assist Head Academic Instructor with classroom management and curriculum (homework help) weekly
·Targeted objective for 1 letter grade improvement for students by end of school year.
·Assist in the implementation of student-centered, interactive, hands-on experiential learning activities in the area of Math
·Facilitate weekly leadership/conflict resolution workshops with participants at a minimum of twice per week
Promote Effective Conflict Resolution Strategies
·Develop and maintain a safe and respectful environment for participants, volunteers and interns.
·Incorporate leadership and conflict resolution curricula into the individual and group counseling sessions
·Model professionalism and the founding principles of CMS.
·Meet with Site Coordinator for supervision.
Participate as a member of the CMS team
·Enhance awareness of the program by participating in networking and school-wide activities
·Share knowledge of existing resources for the creation of an agency resource data base
- Participate in unit initiatives.
