This position is responsible to develop and provide leadership for the professional development of youth programs offering before and after school child care, summer youth child care , and other out of school time care programs offered to children grades K- 8. This position services as the School Age expert on the PDN staff. He/she works within a leadership team to make decisions on curricula development for school age programming that supports the healthy development of children, promotes school readiness and leads to positive long term outcomes for children. The position is located in Augusta.

Qualifications: Required: Masters degree in Early Childhood Education with a strong background in school age child care programming. Preferred: Minimum of 5 years experience in offering training and technical assistance to school age child care programs. Experience with school age accreditation standards and the Maine QRIS standards for school age programs required. Experience designing and implementing scientifically-based training and technical assistance for early childhood and youth development teachers in developmentally appropriate settings.
