JOB LOCATION: The Youth Specialist position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana

DUTIES: The Youth Specialist provides direct resident care, providing a safe and therapeutic environment through daily assessments, treatment plan implementation with the provision of individual, and group instruction of activities of daily living skills.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in a helping field preferred

EDUCATION: High school diploma/GED equivalent OR Bachelor's degree

A valid driver’s license
· Driving record that adheres to Community Health Network policy

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
· Good communication skills (both written and verbal), and assessments and treatment competencies specific to population being served
· Must possess, by specialized training and/or experience, specific age-specific competencies to deal with the needs of the patient population served
· Must be able to assist clients with daily living skills as needed, participate in daily activities and then perform household duties as needed
· Ability to cognitively analyze and reason to perform therapeutic interventions
· Auditory skills to hear reporting by clients of their problems
· Participate in aggressive behavior management appropriate to the population served
