Application/Network Operations Support Technician (Escondido, CA)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Writes and maintains effective system and process documentation. Requires strong organization, written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work independently, as well as ability to function as a successful and participating team member. Must be detail oriented and able to work on multiple tasks at one time. May be required to provide on-the-job training to new department staff members. Will be required to provide computer orientation to new company staff and staff approved to telecommute. Ability to learn and adapt to new technology is essential, as is the ability to think out problems and solutions logically. May work under the guidance of more senior level staff or managers and perform other duties as required. This position requires a rotating on-call component for 24/7 availability.

REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years experience. Able to diagnose systems and application failures to isolate the source of problems between equipment, network, system software, application program and user knowledge. Requires experience on a Service Desk performing Tier1/Tier2 Phone and Remote Support and fully understand the importance of Client Satisfaction, consultant etiquette and follow up. Must be able to multitask, organize large amounts of documentation and emails, communicate, with Clients and teammates, document thoroughly, and shift skills regularly between desktop, server, network, and application software support. Extensive knowledge of Windows desktop and server OS, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 2008, 2010.

Familiarity with Active Directory, account and group creation and editing, Basic GPO Settings Hardware experience, RAM, PCI, SCSI replacements/installs, Hard drive swaps, rack mounting. Understanding/Experience with VPN clients and site to site VPN's. Desktop App support experience with Office, AV clients, Browsers, Adobe. Solid understanding of Printer/file sharing and access permissions. Understanding of DNS, DHCP and commands/utilities such as ping, tracert, nslookup, robocopy. Cell phone email apps, Active Sync for Droid, BES for BlackBerry, set up and troubleshooting, Allscripts Applications knowledge a plus. Mac experience is a plus.
