5 years experience in warehousing or dock management fields with regular supervision of 20+ employees. High school diploma or GED. Demonstrated ability to work and succeed within a team environment. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Extensive experience required with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and excellent computer skills. Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with clean driving record required. Creative and flexible problem solving skills. Desire to work with vocational service consumers, employees and the public.
Recruit, select, develop, evaluate and counsel his/her employee(s). Terminate employees in accordance with Goodwill policies and in coordination with the Internal Dock Manager and Director of Sustainability.
Direct, supervise and coordinate staff activities to ensure departmental goals, budgets and objectives are met.
Responsible for the appropriate management and disposition of all raw, supplies, and seasonal inventory.
Supervise all loading and unloading at the warehouse docks (including supplies, raw, recyclables, salvage etc). Confirm all received materials are routed correctly within the warehouse and all raw donations, salvage, recyclables and supplies are organized. Coordinates with other departments to ensure manifests are prepared, containers are scanned, and emanifest system is functional, accurate, and procedures followed.
Responsible for moving trailers and box trucks within truck court and on property to manage available dock space when drivers are not available. Maintain valid Class A CDL.
Support Aftermarket team with respect to sales, materials disposition, movement of product within warehouse, and general support of vendor relations when necessary.
Maintain a professional work environment and appropriate standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization of both fleet and warehouse operations.
Supervise maintenance and preventative maintenance of warehouse equipment. Maintains all corresponding paperwork and filing system.
Recommend adjustments to staffing including budget impacts to the Internal Dock Manager. Holds departmental expenses within budget.
After Logistics team has departed for the shift, collects driver equipment(phone/scanner),keys, and fuel cards and ensures items are secure and Logistics responsibilities are completed for the day.
Provide leadership, guidance and professional development for Internal Dock team and models expected behavior for the staff. Utilizes participatory management.
Maintain a positive, team oriented relationship with management, peers, and subordinates; encourage interactions between all departments; works collaboratively with all departments and stores including primarily recycling and transportation departments.
Represent the company in the community in a positive fashion. Behave in an ethical and professional manner at all times. Consistently demonstrate sound business ethics.
