SUMMARY
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Lending Documentation Department. ,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Applies best practices and recommends, develops, and maintains policies and procedures for the Commercial Documentation Department.

Manages department staffing and workloads and ensures all documents are accurate and timely.
Works with other departments and teams to ensure that delays are kept to a minimum.
Reviews all documentation generated using LaserPro per approved credit authorization.

Reviews and files title reports, flood reports, UCC and all relevant documents.

Coordinates with personnel of the Loan Administration department to complete loan booking and processing.

Prepare Reconveyances and reviews the funding processes.

Assure all “subject to” items are clear prior to release of documents.

Maintain all G.L accounts related to the loans.

Manage outside legal and title company relationships.
Examines work for exactness, neatness, compliance and conformance to policies and procedures of both
SFCU and the NCUA.

Stays abreast of changes in policy, procedures and Federal and State regulations as it pertains to credit unions and Stanford FCU’s products and services.

Provides support, coaching and training to team members, completes performance appraisals and disciplinary actions, as necessary.

get along with members, commercial real estate agents, commercial loan brokers, commercial appraisers, vendors, co-workers, and management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 1-2 employees in the commercial department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or four to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical
procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
