A founding member of Boys & Girls Club of America, Madison Square Boys & Girls Club annually serves over 5,000 youth at four clubhouses and three school sites in the Bronx and Brooklyn. We provide after-school and summer program that address the needs of the "whole child," empowering at-risk youth to see past their own circumstances and find the tools necessary to pursue the vast opportunities that lie ahead.

The Madison Square Boys & Girls Club is currently seeking a Capital Campaign Manager is responsible for tracking the goals, projects and other details of our Capital Campaign. The Capital Campaign Manager is supervised by the Director of Development.


Manage prospect tracking system

Record measureable goals and prepare reports for the Capital Campaign Steering Committee

Maintain master campaign calendar and use project planning software to track the many different operations of the campaign

Schedule meetings and consultations

Research biographical, professional and foundation relationshpis and give information of potential major gift prospects

Prepare pledge materials and other packets for the Capital Campaign asks

Maintain a calendar of all Campaign related initiatives

Prepare strategy summaries and document follow-up, next steps and correspondence

Maintain regular reports that detail: financial progress toward Campaign goals, upcoming asks and visits, results of recent asks and visits, potential and missed goals

Committee Support
- Financial progress toward Campaign goals
- Prepare resources for committee work on the Capital Campaign
- Coordinate scheduling, space and technology for all Capital Campaign committee meetings
- Provide Committee members with constituent information for asks and visits
- Organize volunteer assignments and follow-up and assist in all aspects of volunteer-led events

Donor Support
- Campaign acknowledgement letters
- Funding proposals
- Campaign pledge statements
- Regular status reports regarding named endowed funds
- Campaign progress reports and newsletters

Date Entry
- Coordinate with Data Entry Associate to ensure that all research, gifts, pledges, visit reports, notes and sign-in sheets are properly logged in Raiser's Edge


3-5 years of development experience

Raiser's Edge database experience

Demonstrated ability to help identify and cultivate gifts, from individuals

Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with significant donors on behalf of an institution, and an understanding of the record keeping and stewardship systems that support a successful donor relations program (particularly Raiser's Edge)

Must be committed to philosophy and mission of Madison by becoming fully conversant with Madison's programs and funding opportunities

Must be a highly organized, detail oriented self-starter who is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, often under time constraints

Donor research skills including familiarity and/or experience with LexisNexis and Foundation Center's Foundation Directory Online are a plus

A proven professional who promotes teamwork, creativity and open communication

Demonstrable experience in working with teams with the ability to harness team creativity and translate into effective fundraising

Strong communications skills with the ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications

Ability and willingness to participate in events outside the workday schedule
