TITLE: Coding Lead JOB CODE:
DEPARTMENT: Business Office FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Business Office Manager
POSITION NARRATIVE: Responsible for assigning, reviewing and auditing for CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS coding for fee tickets. Devises coding tools and education for documentation for CHC clinical staff and physicians.
- Assigns, reviews and corrects fee tickets based on coding guidelines.
- Maintains and updates in coding system.
- Assists Business Office Supervisor with creating and maintaining coding sheets.
- Trains physicians and staff on use of Codescan ticket.

REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED required. College level courses or Associate’s degree preferred. Current coding certificate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, and use wrist deviation, hand/wrist repetitions, and manual dexterity.
