CACSI, located in Overland Park, KS, is seeking talented Commercial Collection Specialists who share our values and want to participate in our growth. Commercial Collection Specialists are responsible for partnering with small business owners to resolve outstanding high-balance commercial debts in a fair and respectable manner. Former business owners, insurance specialists, criminal justice and military backgrounds, paralegals, inside sales representatives, and consultants are often well-suited for our positions.
Essential Job Functions:
Work independently and maintain consistent work efforts to effectively manage commercial account inventory.
Utilize multiple systems to research and investigate the customer’s commercial obligations.
Update accounts with current customer information (i.e. phone numbers, addresses, and places of employment).
Analyze financial information, including credit reports, to negotiate manageable payment plans tailored to each customer’s individual situation.
Accurately process customer payments via credit card, ACH withdrawals, or wire transfers.
Follow-up with customers to ensure payment commitments are being kept.
Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when working with customers and attorneys via telephone, email, and fax.
Effectively work with customers through sensitive and challenging financial situations.
Adhere to quality standards and ensure proper and lawful interactions with customers.
Meet or exceed monthly performance goals.
High school diploma or GED.
3-5 years of successful experience in an environment with high customer contact. Prior business-to-business or collections industry experience is strongly desired.
Knowledge of FDCPA and other laws governing third party collection activities is preferred.
Knowledge of skip tracing and general collection software is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to think critically, negotiate, and problem solve.
Goal driven and money motivated.
Ability to effectively prioritize work and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Strong business acumen.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Able to pass background and credit check
