Full-time (Flexibility Required)
The Community Wrap Around School - Site Coordinator will create, strengthen and maintain the bridge between the school, parents and community-based providers in the community and surrounding neighborhoods. This work will be monitored to measure student academic achievement, parent engagement and school improvement.
The Community Wrap Around School – Site Coordinator will connect the needs of the students and school with appropriate community service providers, identify and seek services to meet the mission and goals of the assigned school, ensure services provided to students are effective in helping students meet their learning goals, develop and enhance parental involvement in the schools, documenting participation and reporting data, planning, scheduling and directing daily routines, activities during and after school, maintaining community resource information to promote available opportunities with the school and/or community, develop and maintain public relations strategies to increase awareness and utilization of activities in the communities, implement continuous quality improvement process and strategies, provide leadership, support and growth opportunities for all staff members, volunteers, and other providers, Conduct monthly check-in meetings with the principal to review goals, progress and other community wrap-around activities and participate actively in school-wide planning and governance teams.
May be responsibile for other components, depending on the school.
- Bachelor’s degree in the area of education, social services, community development or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Three to five years’ experience in one or more of the following: education, social services or community development
- Familiarity with programs and providers in the City of Cleveland
- Proven experience with data collection and using data for decision making
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
