CONFIGURATION ANALYST, BUSINESS OBJECTS
A Configuration Analyst, Business Objects for Hasbro is primarily responsible for analyzing and designing aspects of the system development process for Hasbro’s BO applications and is expected to lead and coordinate the efforts of a project team and oversee configuration and testing efforts relating to Hasbro’s BO tools. More specifically, the responsibilities of a Configuration Analyst, Business Objects include:
Creating, testing and implementing a BO universe for various functional areas of the business using BO Designer;
Managing BO infrastructure, scheduling and user-group administration;
Liaising with the business community and critically analyzing client requests with respect to the BO module and software based on specific requirements;
Designing, developing and evaluating technical solutions to best meet the needs of the business;
Developing and executing task specific project plans;
Writing WEBi reports to support business and team needs;
Acting as project leader, managing external consultants and configuration specialists to complete the designing, building and testing of new solutions, including the specifications for programming and configuration and testing efforts, and monitoring projects from start to finish;
Adhering to departmental procedures and standards when performing assigned tasks;
Participating on committees and teams within the Information Systems Department to develop procedures and policies;
Participating in product evaluations, testing and training; and
Participating in off-shift system support as needed.
Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Business Information Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Two (2) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the role of a Configuration Specialist or similar position.
Knowledge of and experience with fundamental and advanced concepts of SAP systems development and configuration and its Business Objects toolset, including its applications.
Knowledge of and experience with the application development lifecycle from requirements through implementation, WEBi, Live Office, Crystal Reports and Xcelsius toolsets, and familiarity with IT project management and governance.
