The National Kidney Foundation seeks a Corporate Fundraising Relations Director who will be responsible for identifying, initiating and managing relationships within the healthcare industry sector, including but not limited to pharmaceutical/biotech companies and medical device/equipment manufacturers. He/she will obtain support for National Kidney Foundation programs and services through sponsorships, grants, and fee for service agreements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and grow existing relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech and device companies in support of NKF programs and initiatives.
Identify contacts and initiate/build relationships with new corporate supporters.
Develop and grow key relationships and cultivate potential new partnerships at various healthcare association meetings.
Work with the Senior Vice President, Program Development and Innovation and the Corporate Relations staff to research and identify revenue generating opportunities and develop funding request proposals/agreements.
Develop customized proposals, budgets and presentations for all areas of corporate funding.
Assist with the completion of grant reconciliations and all other metric reports required by the grantor in conjunction with the funded program.
Develop national corporate fundraising promotional concepts that are complimentary to the goals of the National Kidney Foundation.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of five years corporate development experience for a non-profit healthcare organization.
Prior experience successfully developing and maintaining corporate relationships within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device manufacturers.
Experience successfully raising significant revenue.
Experience developing funding proposals.
Experience developing and selling national corporate sponsorships, program support proposals, and fee for service agreements.
Experience building and maintaining cohesive and strategic partnerships.
Proven ability to define, target and develop account relationships with the objective of maximizing potential from corporate sources.
Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and work under the pressure of multiple deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills.
Proficient in Word applications.
