Ward and Smith, P.A. is seeking a Paralegal to join its Greenville office in its Creditors' Rights Section. The Paralegal's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: assisting attorneys in foreclosure actions including review of loan documentation; recording and filing necessary instruments; preparing and proofreading drafts of correspondence and legal documents; tracking service; preparing attorneys for hearings; preparing for and conducting foreclosure sales in various court houses in North Carolina; maintaining files; and monitoring the progress of open foreclosure actions to ensure proper completion. Applicants should be able to multi-task, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of two years of experience in foreclosure and collections litigation is desired. Real estate experience, particularly title work, may suffice as a substitute. A degree in Paralegal Technology is preferred.
