Summary of Responsibilities

1.Initiates policies and procedures in conjunction with other site managers, plans for overall operation of department; establishes goals and priorities.
2.Prepares budget projections for new and existing programs; directs, reviews, and analyzes the preparation of annual budgetary estimates; controls subsequent expenditures within authorized appropriations; analyzes financial accounting of expenditures and prepares forecasting reports.
3.Provides programmatic input to the planning unit for the development of grants and proposals which serve to enhance the activities of the department.
4.Acts as administrative and operations resource to all clinical staff.
5.Maintains a high standard of care and personnel performance, controlling costs and maintaining sound organizational relationships.
6.Provides general supervision to line supervisors and directly supervises front desk staff. Prepares work schedules, makes assignments, evaluates work flow and job performance to assure efficiency and quality health care to patients.
7.Oversees the collection of statistics and the timely submission of records and reports.
8.Ensures implementation of administrative and personnel policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

1. Requires a MPH/MPA/MBA or six to seven years related experience or training in a health care setting which includes five years experience in a supervisory or management role in a dental clinic.
2.Knowledge of dental care administration including personnel, budget management/procedures, program evaluation/research methods and techniques.
3.Knowledge of the principles, methods and procedures involved in planning, organizing, and directing professionals/auxiliary personnel.
4.Ability to organize/prioritize tasks; and work effectively with dental, medical and other professionals.
5.Experience leading a team of dental professionals, achieving results and providing support for growth and development.
6.Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
7.Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills essential, must be bright, motivated, and diligent with good analytical ability.
8. Ability to interact in a positive manner with employees at all levels of the organization; strong influencing/persuasion skills a must.
9.Knowledge of Database software to include Electronic Practice Management (EPM) and/or Electronic Dental Records (EDR) preferred; Development software; Human Resource software; Internet software; Payroll systems software; Spreadsheet software; and word processing software.
10. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
