The Graduate School of Business Administration at Fordham University located at our Lincoln Center campus has an opening for a Director of Career Services. We seek an experienced professional who will develop initiatives to enhance the quality and quantity of companies that recruit on campus, and post positions within the Career Services area. This is a high profile position for an outgoing individual who has strong connections and cold calling skills. The Director will work closely with the Career Services Staff to deliver tools, programs and events that make the recruiting and job-seeking experience more effective; will provide direction for the annual on-campus recruitment program; and will work with the faculty to align career service policies, procedures and practice with curriculum. The candidate will oversee the development of a marketing campaign in conjunction with the Director of Communications, as well as manage the staff of the Career Services Center.
Qualified candidates must have a Masters degree, (preferably an MBA) as well as the ability to aggressively market the Business School to corporations. The Director of Career Services should be able to demonstrate the ability to work with alumni to develop career opportunities, and with the Advisory Board to grow corporate contacts and connections. They should also have the ability to deliver quality analytic reports on a timely basis with the knowledge of Excel and computer programs for the Career Services industry. The successful candidate should have at least 7 years of prior experience and a demonstrated track record of success in career services; experience in building and maintaining a national/international network of external constituents; outstanding interpersonal skills and strong management abilities; and the capacity to supervise professional staff effectively.
