Purpose of Position:

Oversee and maintain the operations of the Health Information Management Department; Plan, direct and coordinate the activities to provide medical records services to patients and departments; Establish policy and procedures to enhance patient care in accordance to federal and state regulations and guidelines; Direct assigned employees, demonstrating leadership by providing work direction, motivation, training, assistance, performance evaluation and corrective action.


  • Education - Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Business or related field
  • Experience - 5 year(s) in a Health Information Management setting and 2 year(s) in a supervisor role performing functions such as hiring, performance management and discipline
  • Credentials - RHIA Certification
