This is a high-visibility position for Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, one of the most prestigious hospices in the country.

Reporting to the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Organizational Integrity (DIO) is responsible for the overall direction of HNSGB’s quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) activities, and for ensuring that the organization is in compliance with relevant federal, state, local, and accrediting body standards and requirements. The DIO acts as the Project Manager for the organization’s clinical software programs and related documentation needs.

The DIO oversees the clinical education, external education compliance with ANCC and NASW standards, staff development and safety/infection control programs as part of QAPI activities, oversees Director of Compliance and Medical Records’ activities related to the management, coordination, maintenance and administration of clinical records and the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive annual compliance plan.

The DIO also oversees the Social Work Services Coordinator & Manager of Complementary Therapies and Spiritual Care Services Coordinator who provide the respective subject matter expertise to clinical staff and for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant healthcare discipline required; licensed Registered Nurse and Master’s degree in a healthcare discipline preferred.
  • Expertise in electronic clinical information software systems; related project management; report generation (Allscripts)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum five years progressively responsible experience, including quality improvement and management experience in a health care organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of hospice regulatory requirements and accreditation standards (DPH, Medicare, JCAHO and/or CHAP), and experience with licensure and accreditation surveys.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety and infection control principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the theory and principles of quality improvement, and in successfully implementing them in a health care delivery setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with individuals and groups.
  • Ability to manage a staff of seven (7) direct reports
