Senior Manager, Product Development
Summary of Position:
The Manager, Product Development oversees a team of project managers, subject matter experts, and production staff that are dedicated to updating, enhancing, revising, and developing new training products and programs for the restaurant and foodservice industry. Consulting with the Senior Manager, Product Development, this position develops, implements, and oversees the organization’s day-to-day product development policies, procedures, and systems. The Manager, Product Development, is responsible for developing new products and services and executing the redevelopment and repositioning of existing products, both with the purpose of profitably serving the organization’s members and target customers. While the person in this position should be comfortable with developing print-based products, he or she will be focused primarily on guiding the execution and innovation of the NRA’s eLearning suite.
- Undergraduate degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business, Psychology, or Human Resources strongly preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
- At least 8 years experience designing and developing products and/or managing development-related projects.
- At least five years’ experience in the restaurant and foodservice industry, preferably in a managerial, operational role.
- Coursework or experience in learning theory, adult education, instructional methods, project management, instructional media, and instructional systems highly desired. Foodservice experience is also desired.
