The in-house Search Engine Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, optimizing, implementing and analyzing natural and paid search engine marketing activities as well as managing the web development team. This position is key to future growth and will be responsible for the top-to-bottom management of our pay-per-click (PPC) marketing , search engine optimization (SEO) activities and our multiple websites. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in SEO & PPC. Have strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of ecommerce websites, shopping carts etc.
This role requires the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, touching all aspects of the search marketing roadmap including keyword management, creation of campaign messaging, bidding strategies, creative testing, and analytics. The candidate should also be results driven, ambitious, organized, articulate and a self-starter.
Act as a strong business manager of the search engine marketing channel. Manage the P/L of the channel by tracking, reporting, and analyzing all search campaign initiatives.
Manage and optimize the existing paid search marketing campaign components including keyword strategy, ad copy, bid prices, cost per conversion, cost per click, product listing ads, landing page design etc.
Work with all team functions to implement search engine optimization (SEO) recommendations such as site audits for best practice compliance, UX and site design recommendations, navigation and conversion analysis and link building in different languages.
Perform market analysis and come up with the most efficient pricing strategies across our various product levels and worldwide markets for maximum ROI.
Prioritize, manage and delegate tasks to the web development team to best suit the company’s needs and requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in marketing or any analytical field
2 years experience managing paid and organic search campaigns
Demonstrated ability optimizing SEO and PPC search engine marketing campaigns
Experience managing SEM campaigns internationally - in targeting customers in specific international regions/countries preferred
Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions from large data sets
Knowledge of conversion analysis and landing page analysis
Knowledge and experience with web analytical tools- mainly Google Analytics
Have experience working with ecommerce shopping carts
Strong written and communications skills
Ability to manage details, overall flexibility and efficient work habits
Knowledge and experience with HTML and Excel
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work
Experience building and managing a team is a plus
