National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation, the Pipeline and Storage segment of National Fuel Gas Company, is currently seeking an Environmental Engineer for an outstanding career opportunity at our Erie, PA location. National Fuel is looking for a skilled and highly motivated Environmental Engineer to serve as an integral member of our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Interpretation of environmental regulations, specifications and equipment performance standards and the development and maintenance of air quality emission and leakage rate reports
  • Support Engineering project team members on a broad range of project permitting, construction, equipment retrofitting and commissioning activities
  • Participation in compliance inspections and audits
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Clean Air Act and Green House Gas compliance policy and with the development and implementation of the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Protection Act
  • Collaboration with consultants performing erosion and sediment control, noise, air quality, threatened and endangered species and meteorological monitoring and permitting activities
  • Training of operating personnel
  • Performance and review of noise attenuation studies

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. A degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science is preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills, proven critical thinking and problem solving skills and strong computer skills. The ability to successfully work independently as well as within a multi disciplinary team environment is required. Prior experience working with regulatory agencies, equipment manufacturers, and/or knowledge of chemistry, combustion equipment, air quality regulations, codes and standards and facility construction is desirable. Exceptional time management, organization skills and multi-tasking abilities are essential to success in this position.
